About Bootcamp:
Overview: This highly intensive, 3-part live online instruction course will meet on the three Saturdays leading up to the exam with Professor Gabriel Necoechea, PhD. During the live sessions the exam material will be reviewed, with special focus on harder topics, common errors, and exam strategy. Professor Necoechea will guide the class through key examples and answer any particular questions you’d like to discuss. The live bootcamp sessions are recorded and hosted privately for viewing in case you miss a session or want to review a past session. Beyond that, the professor will assign select review exercises to guide your study (through Academic GOAL) and be available for Q&A email correspondence.

About your Professor
Gabriel Necoechea earned a PhD in mathematics from Kansas State University. Having developed an interest in actuarial mathematics at the end of his time in grad school, he has passed multiple SOA exams with plans to sit for more in the very near future. Recently, he has partnered with ACTEX and ASM to produce exam prep videos and other actuarial learning materials. He has five years of experience teaching mathematics at the university level, and he truly enjoys working with students. In his spare time, he enjoys recovering from running injuries.
About the Author:
Abraham Weishaus Ph.D., FSA, CFA, MAAA
Abraham was formerly a financial reporting actuary for Guardian Life Insurance Company. He served on the SOA's Education and Examination Committee for 11 years. He also taught exam preparation courses for the Actuarial Society of Greater New York (ASNY) for 15 years, for CAMAR for 6 years, and for St. Johns University for 5 years.. Abe is currently a professor at Columbia University, where he has been teaching for over 10 years. He has been an ASM author for over 20 years and publishes material for exams P, FAM, ALTAM, ASTAM, SRM, MAS-I, and MAS-II.
